Using scratchboard, we had to make 4 illustrations--a still life element, a close up on a face, an exterior, and an interior--based on a horror story. I picked Misery, and I borrowed Kathy Bates' face.
Had to go to River Street to take reference for this drawing, and it was required to tone it with graphite. This is actually a second attempt in which I changed the two main figures in the foreground and flipped the composition.
I believe we had to choose from a list of structures in NY and draw them in 3 pt. perspective, with at least 3 figures. Not sure what I was doing here but I did it.
Finished version of pencils of our first big project for this class. I actually flipped this horizontally and decided it looked better this way.
Ink and/or color this in the near future.

We had to make a comic of a scene from a movie in the iconic style of a famous cartoonist/comic book artist.
My artist was Bryan Lee O'Malley (Scott Pilgrim, Lost at Sea) and my movie was Inception.
